Anderson SC PD (Palmetto 800 TG 41019) is now about 75% encrypted. Dispatch is still in the clear, but most police units are fully encrypted. Dispatch will likely change to full encryption when all police unit encryption is complete. The changes started a few weeks ago, but have accelerated this week. Is the Spartanburg Palmetto site P25 Phase I or II? The RR database shows it as Phase II but the talkgroups are shown as D Phase I and not T when it's phase II ..read more

This maybe just speculation but I was wondering if anyone may have heard of horry county police possibly going encrypted I know that they do have some talk groups encrypted as I listen to them all the time I just heard whispers about all of them going encrypted which would be a shame I have been listening to them for a little better than 40 years since the early 80s back when they were on VHF the good old days ..read more

I was working from home today and thought it would be fun to run a trunking discovery to learn more about it. I've done conventional discovery a few times but overall I'm pretty new to this aspect of scanning. I chose the Fort Mill Fleettalk System and have been getting hits from Talk Group 276.
