2023 2.0L elantra coolant vanishing

Hey everyone, quick question. Is it normal for coolant to disappear in the new 2.0L engine? My dealer seems to think so. I've got 30,000 Miles on the engine so far, 99% highway. Last September i noticed while doing an oil change that the coolant was about an inch below the Low line. There's no puddles or wetmarks anywhere around the cooling system. I do all my own oil changes so i can confirm the oil is a rich black at change, not milky. No white smoke out the exhaust either. So I... 2023 2.0L elantra coolant vanishing ..read more

21 1.6l n line I can't seem to find the fill port for the manual tranny. I think I found the drain. I haven't found anything online, without paying $50+. I've seen the 22 model. But it is not the same. There is 1 spot that appears it could be a fill, put it looks like a sensor port. Anyone know where the fill port is located ..read more

New to the forum so hopefully this is posted in the right spot. I just bought a 2017 Elantra Se and the left turn signal flashes really fast. I tried replacing the bulb and it is still doing the same thing. After looking more here's what I've noticed, with no lights on the right blinker flashes normally while the left (drivers side) blinks fast. With the daytime lights and no blinkers the right side is much more dim than the left side. With lights on and right blinker, it flashes normally... Left Turn Signal Issue ..read more

Oil leak from around spark plug heads?

Hey all, I've to a 2006 Hyundai Elantra, and I seem to have a weird oil leak. I did a tune up a few months ago, and I've noticed that the car was leaking oil. Tracing it back, it seems to be coming from between the rocker arm cover, and the metal tube that holds the spark plugs. There's a small gap there, and the oil seems to be coming from there. When I did the tune-up I installed new wires as well as plugs. The spark plug, "cover(?)" for lack of better term doesn't seem to seal this... Oil leak from around spark plug heads ..read more

Has anyone noticed when driving down the road and you hit a bump the rear end sways? It feels as if the entire rear shifts to the left or the right. Someone in the Hyundai forums mentioned this. There is a fix for this issue. You purchase a rear under sway bar and It keeps the back end from shifting. They say it also reduces body roll. Here is the bar if anyone is interested. I will be purchasing one in the future. Also to mention it fits the GT and Coupe... Sway Bar ..read more

Hello, I need some advice regarding the replacement of an ignition coil with a new one. I ordered a new OEM coil from eBay, and its dimensions seem to match; the coil fits into the socket. The problem arises when I try to connect the cables and move the plastic safeguard to secure the cables. In the new coil, I can't move it, while in the old one, it worked without any issue. I tried with a cable from another cylinder, but the situation is the same. I would like to add that the old coil had... Problem with locking cables connector to the new ignition coil ..read more

I can hear washer pump running when I activate it, but nothing hitting windshield. It has fluid and I tried to clear nozzles at windshield with a pin. Where should I start diagnosing next? I wondered if this is a systemic issue on this model, too. I did see that one manual said front bumper must be removed to access pump. Any alternatives to doing that? Any ideas or learned shortcuts/solutions from your prior fixes are appreciated ..read more

2012 Hyundai Elantra Pushbutton Start occasionally clicks, but doesn't turn over

This is an odd issue that I'm hoping somebody has gone through already because intermittent faults are such a pain to diagnose. Let me start by saying that the vast majority (90%+) of the time I get into my car, put my foot on the brake and press the start button the car fires up immediately and with no issue. But sometimes, one of two other things happen When I get in my car, put my foot on the brake and press the start button I can hear a click from the engine (starter engaging I... 2012 Hyundai Elantra Pushbutton Start occasionally clicks, but doesn't turn over ..read more
