Anyone got some good tips for a first timer going out after mulies? Things you wish you knew when you started out? I’m headed out Sunday for the last week of my 10/5-10/20 tag, I’m in the 60’s northwest of Elko. This will be my third try at big game, first and only success was a speed goat last year with an unsuccessful antelope try in 2019. Surprisingly quiet this season, anyone else out there hunting yet? Just got back from my hunt today. Drew antlerless mule deer, normally take my 6.5cm but just got my 300wm suppressor approved so decided to take it out. Had this doe spotted at around 500 yards and she walked to about 100 when I shot. Definitely was worried about the 300wm at that range but the 215 Berger hybrid punched a golf ball size exit and chunks of lungs about 5 yards. Hey all, I just got back from a hunt in Alaska where I was lucky enough to harvest a nice bull Caribou. I live in the Carson City area and I’m looking for a good taxidermist to do a euro mount and potentially stain the antlers (had to peel velvet so I’m left with white/pink antlers).
