Will be moving to the suburbs of Portland this fall and wanting to get some information validated and supplemented from the research that I've already done regarding the riding options. Info below, I appreciate anyone who is willing to help me out. And before anyone says "don't do it", yes I have thought of that. Will be moving for wife's job and don't have a choice, so going to try to make the best of it. We are shooting to be in the Beaverton/Cedar Hills/Bethany areas.
I have 2 bikes - a...

Hey mtbr!
i am wondering if there are any good jump spots in Salem? I go to black rock all the time but live right by Wallace marine park and keep seeing photos and videos online. Can someone give me instructions how to find them from the parking lot. Are they worth it? Any other good dirt jump spots around? Any info is much appreciated ..read more

A taste of Oregon mountain bike riding & more for those who're unfamiliar with what we've got.

Welcome to Oregon, where we can have 40° rain one day and 60° sunshine the next.
Anyway… relieved to finally see this forecast:
Too bad 6” of slush remains above 2,000’ elevation. Oh well, we’ll be riding the high country soon -- nothing can stop us, eh!

This event was originally scheduled for Jan. 17, 2024.

Without doubt the funnest MTB event to happen during Oregon's short, dark, cold, wet winter days:
All Comers Meet -- 19th Annual
Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, 9:30am-4:30pm
All abilities and everyone (yup, everyone) welcome!
NOT a race -- just more fun than you can throw a front derailleur at
Suggestions:
Arrive half an hour early (or more) unless you don't mind parking a...

Newish to the Portland area and since the trails are off limits for a bit I'd like to do some mixt terrain rides in and around Portland (I refuse to say gravel). I'm in the SW area if that helps.
I know there are plenty of rides within driving distance, but I wanna roll from the front door and I'm looking for some road/dirt rides in the 30-50 mile range. I know about Leif Eriksen in Forest Park, but would appreciate some local knowledge about any fun off road stuff in Portland proper that I...
