I’ve been seeing a lot of last years fawns that look much smaller than year old fawns in the past. 30-40 pound range. Definitely under 50. Anyone else notice that? I saw 4 different yesterday and two this morning. All very small. And definitely last year’s fawn ..read more

I went online to purchase a turkey tag today and noticed they had the option for a second bear tag so I purchased that as well. 2024: Hunters are now able to purchase a second bear tag that may be used in the White mountains region, this region includes wildlife management units C1, D2, E, F. This additional tag is only valid for the specific management units listed above. This additional tag can be purchased at any time throughout the year and does not need to be purchased at the... I went with a couple buds to a sport shop in NH yesterday. My local stores are mostly under stocked, out of stock or ordering stuff guys just don’t want or need. The store we walked into yesterday and I don’t remember name of it had about everything it should have and some higher quality items. All in stock and the fellas knowledgeable. A pleasure to be there. Great homey feel in it was well. Wonder if most your stores are that way. Round here I can’t name one ..read more

Continuing the use of them with the new laws? I had a conversation with a friend of mine today that has stuck in my pumpkin for most of the afternoon. He mentioned he stopped setting them 3 or 4 seasons ago, and honestly doesn't miss them. I know LB has mentioned he's getting away from them as well. I'm honestly contemplating doing the same. I can get permission easy enough to the places I spend the most time in. Actually, I've already been given verbal permission on two large tracts and... Read more ..read more

Ok people Get your fingers in gear Write those letters We MUST kill this bill again this year just like we did last year! Purple paint bill would allow purple stripe on tree instead of posted signs Color blind won’t see it Dim light poor vision folks won’t see it You will be hard pressed to see in dark Provides no ownership info Easy to put up on land you don’t own and it’s hard to remove Many trails already use purple Last year testimony from those in Maine where it’s legal stated purple...
