I have a Zillow notification set up for when Pittsburg, NH properties become avaiable. In the last 4 to 5 weeks I've been deluged with notificatios of available houses and camps. What is going on up there that is driving the sale of properties? Has the tax rate jumped significantly? Is there some legislation that has passed regarding rental property? Something has to be happening to the area that is forcing people to sell in droves ..read more

We trailered over to Coleman State Park/SDR warming hut from Island Pond, Vt. because we are old and wanted to get into good stuff. No disappointments!
Went to eat at The Damm Inn Cafe just outside of Errol. Sooooo good! Highly recommend. Went back up took in all the trails skirting Pittsburg. An amazing ride and saw 4 groomers out smoothing the bumps. Trees are amazing. No views overcast. Can't wait to go back Next Sunday.

Hello, we are mostly groomed trail riders looking to try snowmobiling in New Hampshire for the first time.
Can anyone recommend a good place to stay with direct trail access? We would like to stay at the same place for 3-4 nights and do a different 200 to 300 mile loops each day.
And is it worth the $161 registration cost for 3 days of riding.
Thank you in advance ..read more

Since the law requiring us to join a club or pay a surcharge to register our sleds went into effect, are we getting our money's worth? What are the thoughts on trail quality, grooming, more trails etc.?
I know of one club that shows certian trails on their map, but never groom them. Others get groomed maybe 3 times a year. Obviously I don't join that club, but it is curious that their grant in aid grooming allowance is based on claimed trail mileage. Don't get me wrong, I still feel we are...

At 17 years old, I bought a brand new 294 silver bullet and raced it that year1972-1973 at a track in Alstead. It was a great time there and I was wondering if anyone has any info on that track and what happened to it. There were many classes, I ran something like 300 stock, the 292 Yamaha's were in there and a few 292 Cats. I usually went up with a friend who ran a 400 Rupp nitro. I didn't tell my parents that I was racing, but eventually go the guts to tell my Dad and he was not to...

Rode out of the SDR lower lot. Not many trailers. Conditions are amazing with a great base. Only dirt was at bottom of Sugar Hill access but plenty of side snow. Needed scratchers last 2 rides in early a.m. I'm about 50 minutes away. Tired of the circles where I live in Island Pond. Did not venture into the town. Ate breakfast at the lodges at Coleman State Park. So good!! Tons of snow at Deer Mtn. All the seasonal roads amazing. Don't hesitate to go!
