I recently moved from MA to NH. After moving to NH I applied for a resident PRL and after meeting with the Chief of Police I was approved for the permit. I had to meet with the Chief due to my previous record in MA. I was obviously aware that I had a record but it was from about 15 years ago and I was young and dumb and didn't recall the details of the dispositions.
After receiving the permit I thought I was good to go. A couple days later I attempted to purchase a handgun at and FFL...

Just like my last two threads on similar topics, this might be one of those things where it's so obvious that I shouldn't have to ask. Alas, I'm from MA and it may take a while to get my head out of my ass. I also searched and couldn't find anything on NES to answer my question.
I'm moving to NH November 1st. Can I go to a store and buy a Glock 19, shotgun and ammo, or do I need to wait until I have a NH driver's license? Articles online would lead me to believe that there's no law...

Hi all,
I am traveling to NH for vacation in August. I live in MA and have my LTC. I wish to bring a handgun with me during my short trip there, but didn’t know the rules of this being someone who lives out of state. I see that NH essentially does not require firearm license and allows open or concealed carry. I tried to find the answer to my question online but could not. Will this be okay if I bring a firearm with me ..read more

Hi all, i see nh fish and game regulation prohibits “smart rifles” which includes electronics that “assist in the accuracy regarding the placement and timing of the shot”.
Does this mean no hunting with a red dot or illuminated scope?
Newbie here so appreciate the insight. Thanks ..read more

Copying a thread from another board: Coos District 1 up for grabs/maybe special election. Dalton, Lancaster, Northumberland, & Stratford
Potential special election coming up as R rep Troy Merner from Lancaster has resigned-ultimately due to residency issues brought to light by the usual suspects.
Only candidate that has jumped in so far is a far left D Cathleen Fountain out of Dalton.
If anyone knows any good candidates in those towns, they may...

A good friend from MA put me on to this great forum. First time poster. I'm a long time NH resident and pistol permit holder. My Massachusetts aging father would like to gift his firearms to me. 3 hunting rifles one old revolver and an old .22 pistol. None were purchased after 1965 except for 1 shotgun, probably 20 years old. A few were through dealers a few through private purchases. I'm not selling any of them and I plan on eventually gifting them to my son. Here's my question: several of...

Hi All,
Had a suggestion from another board that someone on this board maybe able to help me out. I am a New York City resident who had a premise permit and had gotten a nonresident New Hampshire license. Prior to my New Hampshire nonresident renewal my New York City premise permit was non-renewed, basically for administrative reasons. ( seriously)
My concern lies in the New Hampshire renewal application, asks if any license had been denied, or non-renewed I don’t want to lie on the other...

Hello, thank you for accepting me into the group. I hope I'm posting in the right place. So, I'm currently 36, back in 2007(age 20) I had to go to court that resulted in a 631:2-A Simple Assault(misdemeanor) charge on my record, never did jail time, paid $30 and left. The whole court process took less than 30 minutes.
In 2020 I was denied and got the 18 922 (g)(9). My understanding was that if it was a 631:2-B I would have been denied as that would be a Domestic charge. But also, I thought...
