For 17 years, Bob Berdella convinced his neighbours that he was a bit of an oddball, but mostly harmless. Others, however, mostly the rejects and reprobates of society, knew better. When a naked man, wearing only a dog collar, flees from his house in April 1988, he reveals a story beyond imagining, a story of kidnapping, sexual sadism, and murder.

On February 12th, 2008, Larry King was shot twice in the back of the head by Brandon McInerney, a fellow student in his English class, all because Larry had made the fatal error of asking Brandon to be his Valentine and many blamed the school for failing to protect the perpetrator from his victim (no, you read that correctly).
In Part 2, we explore the aftermath and the trial, and Nj also discusses the scourge of American school shootings from an outsider’s perspective.
