Importance of Focusing on Process Over Results
One big factor in hitters' success is how well they learn from failure. The best hitters in the Major Leagues fail 7 out of 10 times... and most fail more often than that. When hitters focus more on the results than the process, it tends to negatively affect them mentally. They become more streaky hitters as their most recent result impacts their next. It also tells us how fast and in what direction it's spinning. Our mind then uses this information to project the rest of the pitch. The mo ..read more
