Reggie Theus finished 17-16 at Bethune-Cookman. B-C has improved a lot under him. Bethune has only had more than 17 wins three times in their D1 era, since 1980. Marvin Menzies was 3rd in the Summit at UMKC, 16-16 overall. Marvin was 11-21 last year, his first season there. UMKC has only won more than 16 games 4 times in their D1 history, dating to 1987. Watching Chicago State playing at Coastal Carolina yesterday, I got to see the former Aggie play. With his redshirt year, and just one year on court, we didn’t get to see him develop from season to season. In his second year now at Coastal, he’s one of their regular starters. Averaging about 6 points and 7 rebounds a game. And he’s still launching a fair amount of 3’s. He scored more last season. Looks like he found a comfortable home on a decent team and a starting role.
