...but I am wondering if it's just going to repeat the recipes I already have?
From ATK I have
Complete Mediterranean
Beans and Grains
Foolproof Fish
Cooking for Two
I eat mostly pescatarian but will adapt some meat recipes; my spouse, who'd probably use the compendium as well, eats everything.
$30 on Amazon (less with my reward points) seems a completely reasonable price for the book, but I'm wondering if I'm just setting myself up for a lot of recipes I already have?

Super vague request, but I’m searching for a publisher that made small cookbooks focused on one vegetable. They had books on beets, one on carrots, and definitely one on cauliflower where they had a buffalo cauliflower recipe. The books also had nicely designed covers. They were small, like size of a small journal.
Anyone familiar with these? I remember them within last 5 years.

Looks like the 2009 copy is significantly more expensive than the 2001 version, something like $60 vs $15 (buying used). Does anyone have an opinion on whether the 2009 adds enough to be worth the additional money?

I’m overwhelmed by the amount of cookbooks out there. What’s 1 solid starter cookbook? For reference I am an experienced cooker and baker, as in I’ve been cooking for a year and I can pretty much make anything as long as I have instructions. I am also starting to focus on health nowadays so ideally a cookbook with health conscious recipes.
I also don’t want to get 1 cook book of a single cuisine and eat that cuisine forever until I get a new one. So what is a cook cookbook to commit to given all of this?

I am scanning The 1976 Congressional Cookbook, to be available on archive.org, and I found it's missing a page (305-306). Possibly a favorite by the book's previous owner?
This is certainly unlikely, but I am hoping someone has this cookbook and could get me a picture of the page?
Thank you.

I have a 700 page cookbook from a community library box (those bookcases posted outside for people to share)
I want to scan it and upload it to archive.org (and share the link to it here but I want the text to be searchable as well, not just pictures of the pages. Has anyone else ever done anything like this?
