Check out this big list of educational toys, activities, Montessori shelf work, manipulatives, and more. These are the items that make up our homeschool space and get lots of love from our kids, ages 10 and under. Over the years, we’ve built this fun collection (and more) by requesting items for birthdays and other holidays, as well as by adding some new items during the summer or at the beginning of each school year. I organize and rotate these items within and around our schoolroom! They are not all accessible at once, and so it keeps them fresh and exciting when they pop up on the Montesso ..read more

St. John Bosco said, “Do you want to do a good deed? Teach the young! Do you want to do a holy thing? Teach the young! Truly, now and for the future, among holy things, this is the holiest.” As Catholic parents, grandparents, godparents, teachers, and guardians of our little children, we want them to develop a close relationship with Jesus and a deep love for God’s Word. Helping our little ones foster a devotion to the Bible from an early age is one of the best ways to plant seeds for a fruitful walk with the Lord over the course of their lives. Here are some simple tips for reading Scripture ..read more

5 Simple Ways to Help Your Children Befriend the Saints

“What a great favor God does to those He places in the company of good people!” -Saint Teresa of Avila One thing I love about being Catholic is the emphasis we place on relationship with our heavenly friends, the saints. Their lives can inspire us and our children to heroic virtue, their writings and words encourage us in our own growth in holiness, and their closeness to God gives us allies we can approach in prayer, knowing they can place our needs at the feet of Christ. Over the years, I’ve come to find saints who truly feel like close friends on my own spiritual journey, and I want my chil ..read more

I had a few people ask for more pictures of our prayer room after sharing a photo online the other day. We just moved in to our home and have lots of dreams for the final version of this room (built-ins, new paint, knocking out the closet and converting to a devotional corner with a kneeler…). I’m certainly no interior designer, but for now I’m just so grateful and content we have space for this peaceful room we’ve put together.   Having a dedicated, quiet prayer space has already made a huge difference in our family prayer life. Even if it’s just a corner of a room, some space on a wall ..read more
