Idaho season dates have been out for a bit now. I don't think they "nailed it" for the zone that the Panhandle is in. Once again, IDFG asked for hunter input and I gave mine. If you didn't give your input you can't complain. Youth / Active Duty Military / Veterans hunt Sept 28-29. Just one week prior to season opener. I support youth hunting and I have respect for military members past and present but the inclusion of vets / active duty has really upped the hunter count on this... Read more ..read more

Here in SE Idaho it's been pretty dismal for the last three seasons. I guess some very few locations have seen good shooting, but nothing like years past. The only good goose shoots last season were News Years Eve morning and the following Wednesday morning, that limits or near limits were got for the 6 guns that were present. I'm coming to Idaho in 2 weeks. Would love to rent a UTV but all the shops want over $3,000. I'm just wanting for a little light use and not willing to pay that. You will be giving feedback on whether in your area you want to see an earlier season (within the 107 day season framework) this year, a later season or my favorite choice, a split season.
