Coding 22610 and 22614. Having trouble with the reporting of the cement augmentation. I do not believe 22510 percutaneous vertebroplasty would be supported here since this is an open procedure with no indiciation of injection. Any feedback would be appreciated!
Postoperative Diagnosis
T8 fracture dislocation, Chance fracture
Operation
T5-T11 instrumented fusion, reduction of fracture, stereotactic navigation, vertebroplasties of T5,6,7,9,10,11

Is there a CPT code for a procedure similar to the description of CPT 61597 except for the approach and that the resection was performed on C3-C5. Decompression of vertebral artery was performed as well as osteophytectomy. CPT 63075 is an option, but it doesn't capture the vertebral artery decompression. Any help will be appreciated ..read more

I am a Pro-fee neuro e/m coder that is being asked to code a surgery since our outsourced billing/coding company is late to get to it. Dr. F and Dr. T are not with our practice.
I'm thinking this should just be 62165-62, but let me know your thoughts as I haven't really touched surgeries that much since I took the neuro coding course several years ago. Please let me know if I've missed anything.

Hello,
I’m billing for minimally invasive C3-C4, C4-C5 posterior cervical arthrodesis with intrafacet implant CAVUX titanium. The surgeon billed 22600, 22614, and 22840 (instrumentation code). Humana denied the claim and explain that Cat III level 0219T and 0222T is more appropriate code. However, I researched this code and couldn’t find fee schedule for these codes. Also, if we bill CAT III codes, they may not pay for these codes because these are new technology and may be proven...
