Hi, does anyone knows about this topic?
Recently found this papers, one from a US study, regarding hormones and homosexuality, and three other from a Colombian endocrinologyst who claimed he had 'healed' homosexuality, by a therapy to change the specific levels of the 17-ketosteroids. Even though the papers are a little old, the research on the topic of hormones and homosexuality only took into account the sex hormone levels -and failed-, or the total sum of 17-ketosteroids. But almost no research done on this topic took into account the specific amounts of 17-ketosteroids, as these studies d ..read more

31 y/o, on TRT.
Trying to understand the conversion ratios associated with somebody who has a 5 ar deficiency. This is my most recent DHT test, which for some reason, was shockingly difficult to get from labcorp. But I digress, is this indicative of somebody with a 5 ar deficiency?

Dual Citizen PGY4 Endocrine Fellow here. My training has been all in Canada thus far. As I understand it, many states would license me with full Canadian training and without having to go back and take USMLE. I'm looking in to some career options on either side of the border.
Anyone have experience or insight comparing community practice in US vs Canada? Is one better than the other in your opinion? I'm curious to hear your experiences
Thanks in advance

Since these values seemed low to me, I visited an endocrinologist who agreed that they were low for my age and suggested me to do the rest of the tests in the pictures (starting ..read more

blurred vision, sometimes dizziness, muscle pain, a lot of appetite, especially cravings for salt and sugar. Always feel tired and weak and low energy. I am also in a low mood (depression) and cannot sleep well as if my brain is always active. Usually when I measure my blood pressure it is around 11/7 and pulse around 70. And my blood sugar is around 85, this is fasting and after I wake up. I have also lost 10 kilos in 4 ye ..read more

I am doing this because I am bored and I think some professionals would get use out of hearing things from the patient's perspective.
