Factory Ducati MotoGP rider, Francesco Bagnaia took another commanding victory in the MotoGP 2023 season, this time at the Dutch TT. It was his fourth victory of the season, and the third podium in a row beginning the Italian round in Mugello. At a recent road safety event which also involved several road safety agencies, an officer stopped by at a helmet booth. The helpful staff introduced the helmets including new models that conform to the new ECE R22.06 helmet standard. That was when things got a little “interesting.” First, he questioned why the helmets did not have the local SIRIM label. Well, imported helmets do not require SIRIM testing and labelling. Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia and his Ducati Desmosedici GP23 proved to be the tour de force at the Italian MotoGP 2023, held at the Mugello Circuit over last weekend. The weekend initially looked bleak for the Ducati factory team as Bagnaia entered the pits on crutches, still sustaining the broken tallus (bone in the foot) after the accident with Maverick Vinalez in the French round two weeks prior. Ducati Lenovo Team factory rider, Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia takes another race podium, this time in the main race of the 2023 German MotoGP round at the Sachsenring to extend his lead in the championship and defend his crown.
