As 2023 was winding down, I wrote about some of the amazing limited time offers that Chase was running on some of their business credit cards. You could earn 90,000 points or $900 cash back on the Chase Ink Unlimited and the Chase Ink Cash. Chase was also running a welcome bonus offer of 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points on the Ink Business Preferred card. While Chase has done away with the limited time offers on the Ink Business and Ink Cash cards, the 100,000 points offer on the Ink Business Preferred card is still available! Chase still hasn’t provided any official end date for the off ..read more

If you’ve been around in the miles and points space for long enough, then you must be aware that there are complexities that we need to navigate through. One such complexity is that of card application rules set by card issuers. Chase has its 5/24 rule. Similarly, Amex has its ‘no lifetime language’ rule. Then there are rules about specific products and which cards you have had in the past.
No Lifetime Language Rule
If you’ve applied for an Amex card over the last few years, there’s a good chance you’ve come across this in your card application T&Cs.
You may not be eligible to rece ..read more

Off late, Amex hasn’t given me much to rejoice. Over the last couple of years, Amex has been slowly but surely adding monthly, quarterly or annual credits to many of their premium credit cards. On the other hand, Amex has been offering some eye popping welcome bonuses. Depending on your style of travel, you need decide whether these cards are keepers in the long term. Most recently, Amex ‘revamped’ the Hilton Business card. As expected, Amex added new benefits and of course, increased the annual fee. So how does the new Hilton Business Card stack up? Let’s have a look.

Frequent readers of this blog may have noticed that I book a majority of my hotel stays with Hilton. Even though Hilton gets quite a bad rap for its devaluation over the years, I still like the fact that Hilton points are really easy to earn. Moreover, Hilton’s global footprint is just perfect for my style of travel, since most of it is international in nature. In October 2023, Amex refreshed the Hilton Aspire Card and the Hilton Surpass card, adding new benefits and credits. Last week, Amex also made changes to the Hilton Business card. While Amex increased the annual fees on these car ..read more
