This morning I woke up totally excited to return to CTK after Spring break. How exciting is it to get to spend my next 2.5 months with some of my favourite teenagers on the planet.
We are moving into a Career Exploration unit. Thanks to Barb Duncan of CSSD for developing this resume writing lesson plan which I will be using:

I joined the Million Reasons to Run campaign on March 24, 2024
I’ve just joined The Million Reasons Run and have committed to running throughout May to raise funds for the health of kids across Canada.
Please sponsor me and support my efforts to give back and change lives.

Easter Break seems like a natural time in the school year to make a transition to a new topic.
Last week I told my students that we will be switching to a unit on Career Exploration after Easter, however I wanted to work with our division two students on the Dare to Care initiative after the break. I told them that I needed their help in creating change at CTK ..read more

Adam Roa is a poet laureate who writes about life and love. He reflects on concepts such as self compassion, emotions and being vulnerable- all topics I am exploring with my students right now during our Dare to Care through Micro Compassion project.

Adam did not disappoint.
On March 20th I showed the following video to my students.
My students loved it. They sat mesmerized.
