Dropping my bike off at my old man's cabin in Sheffield for next weekends kingdom trip but on the way up this weekend where should I stop? I see perry hill Cady Hill in the Stowe area. I don't mind driving at all. Have to stop and get some vodka then head to Sheffield. Legit dropping my bike off and heading back home ?. But where should I go? What's open? What's the conditions? Worst case I'll just do the usual kingdom loops but I'm craving something new thanks ..read more

Planning two weeks in Vermont this summer, where can I ride daily?

I have two weeks in July when I can be in Vermont. I'd like to stay someplace where I can ride daily without having to drive too far. I'll be working remotely during the week so I'll only have 2-3 hours to ride each day, but on the weekend I can venture afield to explore other areas for longer rides. I ride mostly XC/downcountry, not into treacherous downhills or jumps/drops, typically 10-20 miles per ride (1500-3500 ft of climbing). Mostly I like to get out deep into the woods and I enjoy... Hi, Myself and 8y.o. daughter may find ourselves up at North Hero Island the second weekend in April. Never been up this way with her, but have great memories of VT riding 20 years back. Thinking I’d like to bring our bikes and stop for a little trail riding detour. In proximity to N Hero, I see medium-sized networks at Saxon Woods, Catamout Outdoor Center, and Mobbs Farm. Can anyone recommend any of those (or something else!) that would be rideable in early April, and enjoyable for an... Northeastern VT family trails ..read more

Was wondering if there is any buzz out there suggesting an early start to DH season anywhere? Seems like this could/would be the year to do it - the ski areas have to be hurting. Fingers crossed as ski / snowmobile season sucked ..read more

Yo! How many days a week is the park open? Is it busy midweek? I'm not much for crowds or standing in lines but the trails sure look fun. What else is in that region worth riding? Cool towns etc.? Thanks ..read more

Awesome weekend MTB or gravel trip from CT shore... VT etc?

Been a tough month and I'm looking to enjoy a great solo ride to clear my head before fall (end of September). I'd be happy to drive a few hours from the New Haven CT area to explore some beautiful scenery and trails. Could bring the Ritchey for gravel rides or the Cotic for some more serious stuff. I'm not a bike-camper so I wouldn't mind trails near a decent hotel / some fun bars and restaurants as well. Thanks all ..read more

Thinking about taking a fall riding trip up north to Vermont. Want to do Kingdom trails but have access to free lodging at Sugarbush. Haven't ridden the bike park since 2008 or so and never the local trails. Looking for hopefully a very decent XC ride but could be convinced to do a day at the park ..read more
