Tom grew up a city kid in Chicago, a camera always in his hand. He studied the art of photography and in his words, he loved being a “photographer of people”. As a favor, Tom was asked to go to a local rodeo to photograph by a friend-of-a-friend. Thyrl Latting, an Illinois stock contractor, heard about Tom and asked him to photograph his rodeos in 1976. Tom often shot 20 rolls of film a weekend, sleeping in the backseat of his car, looking for that perfect shot. In 1977, Tom arrived at the famed Pontiac Silverdome to shoot the Longhorn Rodeo. Mike Fletcher, an ordained minister with a church in Texas, was the 1983 IPRA All Around World Champion. Mike talks about growing up in Louisiana, buying his first Jim Houston bareback rigging, winning the National High School Bareback Riding Championship in 1972 & 73, hitting the road when he was 18, travelling with IPRA cowboys Mike Duplissey, Rob McDonald and Jack Wiesman. This year, 2024, Attica will celebrate its 66th year in Professional Rodeo & Dave Wheeler was one of the founding members. Dave talks about growing up in the Attica area and learning to ride properly at a very early age at Gene Redding’s arena.  Dave showed horses, learned to rope, and played “chase” on horseback in the woods by the Tonawanda  Creek.
