This week we see how important it is to guard our pride by looking at Proverbs 16:5, 18-20. Unguarded pride can negatively effect all of our relationships, including with God. We see through the Proverbs today, a call to humility and that to live the life God is calling us to we need to trust Jesus more than ourselves and he will help us guard our pride. We hope this encourages and challenges you! Thanks for listening ..read more

This week we look at select verses from Proverbs 27 to talk about guarding our relationships. We all choose the people we let influence us. Let's choose those people wisely! We need to find the right people, whom we can be real with, and whom we can trust to build us up. The proverbs give us the wisdom to do this. And the kind of people we need influencing us should ultimately lead us to Jesus. We hope this challenges and encourages you. Thanks for listening ..read more

The Pathway of Wisdom
Redemption Church Sermons

Today we'll be in Proverbs 1:1-9, starting a new message series called "Guardrails." God gives us wisdom for life, and it's a pathway we walk over time, not a door we can step through to get instant results. Wisdom is a product of knowing God's pattern for life, knowing ourselves, and most importantly, knowing God. Wisdom is a Person, not a principle! We hope this message encourages and challenges you. This week we finish our DTR series by studying Ephesians 6:1-4 to learn that parents reflect God to their children. The parent-child relationship is so fundamental to human experience, and it's meant to push us toward our perfect Heavenly Father, and his perfect Son. We may not be perfect parents or children, but God is for us, as Father and Son, in the gospel. We hope this encourages and challenges you. Thanks for listening ..read more

This week we're studying Proverbs 5 as we discuss sex and singleness. God gave sex for marriage. So we can learn from King Solomon that sex is risky outside of marriage, it's good inside of marriage, and at all times God is present with us. We get obsessed with physical attraction and beauty because we're trying to cover up our ugly sin. But Jesus made himself ugly in order to give us his eternal beauty. We hope this message encourages and challenges you. Thanks for listening ..read more

Marriage & LGBTQ+
Redemption Church Sermons

We're in both Ephesians 5:22-33 & Romans 1:16-2:4 today as we look at what marriage is and is not according to the Bible. We're continuing the "DTR: Relationships According to the Bible" series to help us understand marriage as a symbol that reflects the gospel. Anything outside of God's design for marriage communicates a false gospel. But we can also see that homosexuality doesn't send anyone to hell. A heart of rebellions sends everyone to hell until Jesus steps in to save us. Therefore, our message isn't, "Be straight." Our message is, "Put your faith in Jesus." We hope this challenges ..read more
