Kick off Pride month in style! Learn about the history and queerness of Soho on June 2nd as London Irish LGBT Network head out on a walking tour with historian, Mark T Cox. In accordance with the vote by the membership at the last AGM in October 2023, London Irish LGBT Network will be holding an EGM on Tuesday 30th January 2024 at 8pm. This will be held online. This will provide the membership the opportunity to vote on the future of the Network. Pride 2024: Register Your Interest

As some of you may be aware, you need a wristband to walk in the Pride Parade in London. In previous years, we have been privileged to have been asked to walk with Rainbow Boroughs on the day.  In 2024, Pride in London will be held on June 29th 2024. © Marty McKenna Photography Community groups need to register for either 25, 50 or 75 wristbands. Hi Folks, It’s time to announce our first event of 2024. We’re delighted that Jack Chellman has agreed to come to speak on James Joyce. The online event will take place on Monday, January 15th 2024 at 1930. Jack Chellman is a Marshall Scholar and climate campaigner with a background in LGBTQ+ advocacy. He wrote his undergraduate thesis on feminism and Finnegans Wake and presented that work at the 2019 North American James Joyce Symposium in Mexico City, Mexico. As part of our Annual General Meeting, our Chair gives a report on how the past year has gone. This is the report that our Chair, Vanessa Monaghan, delivered. Firstly, as Chair of The LGBT Network thank you all for being here. The 2023 AGM of the London Irish LGBT Network took place as scheduled on Zoom on the evening of 25 October.  Twelve members joined us for what was very much a procedural session and an interesting conversation about the future of the group.  Committee member, Daniel Carry, sent his apologies and also indicated he would not be available to stand for re-election to the committee.  We thank him for his contributions over the past two years. Fréa will be holding an online event at this years Liverpool Irish Festival about the Mother and Baby and County Home Programme on Friday 27th October at 1pm. Following the discovery of the remains of 796 children, illegally buried on the site of the Bonn Secours Home in Tuam (County Galway) -and campaigns from former residents of the homes- a Commission of Investigation was established by the Irish Government.
