In the Moy Tung lineage, we practice the Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu system. It’s a system for training one’s own Kung Fu, and can be practiced on your own, with very little space. Ving Tsun training includes a system of partnered-drills, but the solo practice and mastery of forms is of primary importance.

In Moy Tung branch Kung Fu schools, we teach the Ving Tsun (wing chun) system, exclusively, because it works, for health and self-defense. When people join our schools, it’s because they’ve found something they’re looking for. Some train for a year or two, and develop a solid Kung Fu foundation for life. Others go on to master and teach the Ving Tsun system, handing it down and promoting the development of Kung Fu in their communities.

At a 2016 Richmond Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy seminar, Grandmaster Moy Tung demonstrated five Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu techniques in Chi Sao (sticking hands) martial arts training.
Chi Sao is not fighting or sparring; it’s for studying and developing Ving Tsun principles and techniques to a higher level. Many practical applications for self-defense are possible once basic principles are mastered.
