We usually take a trip down from Pennsylvania each spring to camp and ride, and have gone to stokesville for a number of years because it's such a great campground and acess to trails, but was thinking of switching it up this year if we could find anything semi simlar.. Good chance I will be in Roanoke for a few months this spring/summer and was hoping for some info regarding trail access from town. I've read that riding a bike around Roanoke can be a bit hairball based on some other MTB forum comments. Lack of bike infrastructure on the road seems to put cyclists in a dangerous position while riding around town. Locals please feel to correct me if that's overblown.
