I posted a similar, but lengthy post in another sub-forum, so I'm going to try here in hopes I can get some traction on this as it doesn't seem to be getting a lot of exposure in the other sub. I'll keep it short.
Truck has 261K miles on it. Has anyone been successful with rebuilding the 845re and can point me to solid sources for a rebuild kit with clutches?
If rebuilding it is not recommended, can anyone confirm if an 845re out of a 4x4 Jeep will work or even a later model Ram 1500...

Hey there, really hoping someone can help. I am feeling pretty lost and confused. My 2014 ram 1500 is long overdue for shocks/struts front and back.
I thought it would be easy to just buy the parts, but with a lift kit of some sort in the equation, now I am realizing that perhaps these are custom length shocks and not normal stock ones.
Here are some pictures that may help:

I have a 2014 Longhorn Hemi 4x4. My drivers side backing plate rusted, broke and took out all the parking brake assembly. There was also damage to the abs tone ring and abs sensor. I have ordered a new tone ring. What I am wondering is, is there a way a home DIY mechanic can get the tone ring off and the new one installed without a hydraulic press?
I figure I can get the old one off with the tools I have but installing the new one could be a problem.

This is a question about repairing a hole in the vent hose from the fuel tank to the charcoal canister on a 2000 Dodge Ram Van 2500 with a 35 gallon fuel tank. The prior owner used a 3 inch deck screw to hold down a seat they put in behind the driver seat and punctured the vent hose resulting in a P0455 leak code. (I have removed the screw). I'm taking it to the shop on the 18th for a water pump and want to know whether that hole is reachable without dropping the tank. Is there clearance...

I recently installed a new ac system in my 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 v8 (I replaced every component) - evaporator, condenser, accumulator, compressor, lines, etc. I had a shop put in the correct amount of oil and we charged the system to 32oz (amount listed under the hood). The ac blows cold and works perfectly at idle. Pressures are great until I get it out on the road. Then the low pressure drops to 25 psi and cuts the compressor out. This causes short cycling going down the road. I had the...

I replacement the cam and lifters in my 2015 ram 5.7L. Replaced with all OEM parts from my local ram dealer.
We followed all instructions and layed all the components out in order and labeled on cardboard during disassemble.
Found TDC on compression stroke and lined up the marks on the cam and crank.
Installed all new caskets and tighten everything down according to the specs..
Problem is it runs rough and you can smell un burned fuel. Removed the new plugs and half look awful. Checked all...
