Hey all, I am obviously new to the forums but one step beyond that I am new to hunting in general. My little brother has been begging me to go hunting with him for years and I've always had a general interest. This year I have decided to take him up on his offer. We are going out for spring turkey as a trial run and will go forward from there. I have been familiarizing myself with the rules and regulations in Ohio, I have went out and bought gear and I'm learning to use calls just incase I... Newbie here ..read more

Hello everyone, I just purchased a new Polaris general 1000 and am interested in a few accessories. I'm interested in opinions on the various roofs, windshields, and winches. What did you buy and how do you like it. I'm also considering a 2" lift kit. Thanks for any help ..read more

Good day gents-I hope this post isn`t too long winded. I lived in and learned to hunt in Ohio from 1980 to 2000. Tried a lot of public ground areas and eventually settled on Salt Fork and really didn`t hunt other areas much after that. I was younger then and could get out and really walk. Took a buck more years than not out of there and loved every minute of it. I moved to Arizona for a warmer climate as we got older, and I love the wide-open spaces and the varied hunting here. I have 1M and 1F Brittany Pups, about 9 weeks old, with a strong pedigree. I also have a 1.5year started male if interested. All have strong instinct and would make an excellent addition to your hunting family or to your Field Trail String. Please text for pictures or more information. 303-913-6936 ..read more

When I worked for GTE, I had a manager, Jim, in Bay East DART, Brandon, FL, & I was the Testboard/TAC supervisor, he had a hemorrhoid operation & left me in charge. He would call me in the morning & afternoon each day for a status. One conversation went as follows: Jim: “UH-OH!!” Me: “What’s the matter, Jim?” Jim: “Are pharts supposed to be runny?” Me: “UHHHHH….No.” Jim: “DANGIT!! I just messed myself again!!” Me: Literally on the floor laughing until the tears ran. You might think... True Story From Back in the Day ..read more

Old & Tired

An old tired-looking dog wanders into a guy's yard. He examines the dog's collar and feels his well-fed belly and knows the dog has a home. The dog follows him into the house, goes down the hall, jumps on the couch, gets comfortable and falls asleep. The man finds it somewhat peculiar but allows the dog to sleep. After approximately an hour, the dog awakens, heads to the door, and the man lets him outside. The dog wags his tail and leaves. The next day the dog comes back and scratches... How much solar should you get from 300W worth of panels of the Roof?

How much solar should you get from 300W worth of panels of the roof? I am thinking that 300w 12v solar panel is the theoretical max, but that would require it being tilting and pointed directly at the sun whereas on the top of a Mercedes sprinter van, they are flat and don't have the right angle for maximum sun. So realistically, how much power should you be getting on a sunny day and without shade ..read more
