Can anyone explain this ranking of the acidity of cationic acids to me (from the solutions manual)? 1 = Most acidic and 5 = Least acidic. I don't know why but I don't understand how they got rankings 2-5.

I just finished an organic chemistry II course, and I am interested on learning even more about it. My college doesn’t offer any ochem beyond II. Are there any good resources I can use to learn more?

I thought this was 3-bromo-2,2-dichlorobutane, since you have to assign the lowest possible numbers, but my friend said this is 2-bromo-3,3-dichlorobutane cuz when substituents can be assigned the same number, we should follow alphabetical order. So, which one is right?

As in title, I tried to use LDA in THF but before I added my substrate the LDA change colour to blue, is it normal? I had problem with n-buthyllithium and DIPA, I tried it few times and sometimes n-buthyllitium changed colour and sometimes after adding DIPA it changed

I'm unable to tell the difference between SEC and ISO. I know that ISO has the Y shape, but doesn't SEC as well in this example? Can anyone give any tricks or trips on how to know the difference? Thanks.

And why is this "NEO". The group is attached to a primary carbon, so where does NEO come from?

Could someone identify the compound on this pin? I bought the pin a while back because I liked the way it looks, and I’m curious what it is!

I probably shouldn’t be asking this, but I’m sorry if the question seem out of place. I will like to make notes and write organic reactions in black inks like this. I have a stylus pen and a laptop that support stylus pen. What program or software do people download and use to write these reactions ?
