John Y. Winberg, Sr, age 97, of Mars, passed away on Wednesday evening, August 2, 2023 at AHN Wexford Hospital.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 28, 1926, he was the son of the late Carl and Elsie Yochem Winberg.
John proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps flying B-17s as a rear tail gunner during W.W. II in the South Pacific Theater.
An artist, John had been the Senior Vice President and Director of Education at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

Suellen Marie McCollim, 81, of Slippery Rock passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. She was born in New Kensington, PA on October 5, 1942 to the late James and Helen (Reimer) McCollim. Suellen graduated from Washington Township High School with numerous academic awards, then continuing her education, she graduated, Summa Cum Laude, in 1992 with her Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Slippery Rock University. Delbert Carl Highlands, 88, of West Mahoning Township, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at his home.
He was born March 26, 1935, the son of George William Highlands Jr. and Mary Ellen (Boyer) Highlands.
Delbert called Pittsburgh home for most of his life and later relocated to West Mahoning Township. He graduated from New Kensington High School in 1953 and then went on to earn his master’s in architecture from Carnegie Mellon University.
Delbert was self-employed as an architect and also was a professor of architecture at Carnegie Mellon University, retiring in 2000.

Phiris Kathryn Sickels, of Plum Boro, sadly passed away on February 13, 2024, surrounded and comforted by family members. She was 81 years old.
Kathy was born in California and moved to Kansas before her family transplanted to Pittsburgh. She studied Fine Arts at the Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University). Dennis was born on April 5, 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Gerald Bergevin and Rita Caruso Bergevin. As a child, his family moved to San Diego, California where Dennis was raised.
