RX-8's were such underrated cars. I leased a 2004 new when I was in college and did my 2 years of HPDE in it and a bunch of autocross before going wheel-to-wheel racing in a BMW. It was quicker than E36 M3's and at least as quick as E46 M3's over a lap. I loved the practicality and the fact that it shot flames with a cat delete. I have been looking to get another sports car and was looking into a rx8. I use to own a Turbo mazda3 while ago and it was an absolute blast. Right now I have a boosted Saab, but looking at different cars right now. An used rx8 are fairly cheap what I am seeing. I also still have a soft spot for a mazda3. hey - i just signed up on this site. as you other RX8 owners know, the manual says SAE 5w 20 motor oil. can we not use ANY other motor oil??? i just read something that said 5w20 gets better fuel economy but is shit in terms of wear on the car....and it's super thin so it's used up quicker. can't i just dump some 5w-30 in there or even a 10w something? i obviously know nothing about oil for the car. i know it's supposed to be full synthetic...beyond that, i am lost. help... 2007 RX8 - motor oil question - HELP ..read more
