You asked, and I listened! After so many requests, I'm finally sharing some of the groundwork I do with my ponies to help strengthen them and improve their overall way of going. I know in-hand pole work might not seem like the most exciting thing to watch, but trust me—when done correctly, it can completely transform your horse. Polework is a simple yet powerful way to improve core strength, balance, and coordination. Walking over poles encourages horses to lift their topline, engage their core, and develop better rhythm and flexibility. It's also fantastic for building muscle and keeping them ..read more

Winnie’s First Cross-Country of 2025! ?✨ The event season is creeping up fast, and I was starting to panic about getting Winnie out for some much-needed cross-country practice—especially since finding an open venue has been a struggle! Thankfully, the amazing team at Lands Eventing came to the rescue with a last-minute clear round day at Dallas Burston Polo Club, so we packed up the lorry and hit the road! ?? Winnie came off the box feeling VERY fresh and keen to get going, and I couldn’t have been happier with her attitude towards the solid fences. We started off with the 80cm course, and she ..read more

I don’t do tack up & ride with me videos very often, but I know you guys love them—so here we go! ?? Today, I’m bringing you along for Winnie’s first proper gallop of the season as we start stepping up the fitness work ahead of eventing season. Come with me as I pack the lorry, groom, and tack up—which is a little tricky when Winnie is feeling very fresh and rather excited about the prospect of a gallop! ? Once we arrive, it’s time to take the plunge and get on, hoping that Winnie doesn’t explode with excitement… thankfully, she was actually super well-behaved, and we had an absolute blast ..read more

Ever since he was born, you guys have been totally split on what colour he’ll end up. He arrived as a stunning buckskin, but with his mum being grey, half of you were convinced he’d eventually grey out. The other half held onto hope that we’d somehow bred a true buckskin—an unexpected but exciting twist! To settle the debate once and for all, I sent off a hair sample ..read more

It's a triple jumping day with all three ponies! ?❄️ In today’s video, I take you through a typical winter training session at home as we prep for the upcoming event season. First up, Wilma—she’s just coming back from her winter break and easing back into jumping, and I couldn’t be happier with how she’s going! Next, it’s Jammy’s turn. She’s been taking it easy due to her injury, but WOW, she’s feeling better than ever and absolutely flew over the fences. And finally, we’ve got Winnie, the youngest of the trio and the reason I set up this particular exercise. It really paid off, and I feel lik ..read more

Turning Jam Back Into an Event Horse

Jammy is back in action! After months off recovering from injury, this was only her second jump since July last year —and my first proper jumping lesson on her in a long time. If you’ve already seen part one of this training session with Winnie, you’ll know we focused on getting me to ride more forward and stop taking those unnecessary pulls before a fence. Now, it’s time to see if I can apply the same improvements to Jam. Spoiler alert: She was very happy to be back! It honestly felt like we picked up right where we left off, and I couldn’t be more excited to have her back out jumping. Watch ..read more
