Does anyone here have a fully updated Win2k3 SP2 - I'm interested in fltmgr.dll version: is it different/higher than 5.2.3790.3959? Also - would anyone know: what does HKLM,"SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\FltMgr\","AttachWhenLoaded",0x10001,1 mean? Because WinXP SP3 has 0 at the end, so fltmgr doesn't attach when loaded - have to test it at 1. Thank you. Dear Win2000 users, could we share information about which USB 3.0 controllers work with W2k or not? At 3.0 speed of course. I have no such hardware (but will in the future) so I couldn't test the drivers properly. Here's a list of some controllers, please complete it: - AMD chipsets? - Nec's UPD 720200, and newer 200A, 201, 202, with Nec being Renesas now. Hello developers, in Windows 2000 we have the situation, that if there is a non-plug-and-play-capable driver active, then the shutdown options "standby" and "hibernation" are not available. For example the driver vga.sys of Windows 2000 prevents the system from going into standby mode. So, I tried this modded USB driver from daniel_k for intel USB3 on Windows 2000, and it does work on intel b365 and z390, but when I installed it on my asus Z790 board, it causes a kmode_exception_not_handled BSOD.   Would it be possible to get this driver working on Z690/Z790 so I can get my 13700k fully running on 2000.   Daniel has not updated the driver since new years eve 2019 and yet the intel sata driver listed still somehow works on Z790 despite not being a universal driver   ..read more

I've sort of known that if you connect an NTFS drive as a slave to another system running a more recent NTFS version (say, connecting an NT4 drive to a Win-XP system) that "things happen to it" such that you might not be able to run the NT4's native drive-fixing tools (scandisk or defrag) any more.  But I've never NOT been able to put said drive back into its original box and it fails to boot.
