Hello Dries, Pre-installed Deployer Service with no-snap agent is not possible now, but we will certainly evaluate its feasibility for inclusion in a future versions. Statistics: Posted by rovshan.pashayev — Tue May 07, 2024 2:06 pm ..read more

'Volume-level' is for block-level backups. If you want to back up NFS share, you should pick file-level. Thanks! Statistics: Posted by PTide — Mon May 06, 2024 1:13 pm ..read more

Hi Fabian, Thanks, I actually read this before, but completely forgot about it... What about the nosnap module, is there a workaround available to get it working? Statistics: Posted by dbeerts — Mon May 06, 2024 11:29 am ..read more

Hi Kurt, At first blush looks good, so I think let's have you open a Support Case and let the Veeam Support team take a look and see what is happening with the exclusions. Please include logs as per KB https://veeam.com/kb1832 and use the 1st radio option to select the job in question and export logs for it. Please post the case number here once you've opened a case. Hi David, Thanks for the quick reply. I've read through the user guide excerpts and so far, our setup adheres exactly to what's described in the managed setup with Veeam agent. Here are a few screenshots... /K Statistics: Posted by Hepkat — Thu May 02, 2024 7:01 pm ..read more

Hi Kurt, welcome to the forums. Just to be sure, you've already checked these sections of the User Guide depending on if you're using Standalone agent or Managed by Veeam Backup and Replication Agents? Standalone: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=60 Managed Agents: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120 Check the requirements sections, and maybe share a screenshot of your configuration for the items to backup + the exclusions? If all three conditions are met: 1) The share is NFS 2) The absolute path of the mountpoint in the backup job is correct 3) The backup job mode is set to "file-level, back up from live filesystem" and it still does not work, than I would suggest to open a support case and post your case ID here. Hi Dries v12.1 has a new option to deploy Veeam Agent for Linux without the use of SSH. It requires protection group type "Individuals computers". https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120 What's new v12.1: https://www.veeam.com/veeam_backup_12_1 ... new_wn.pdf Deployer service — manage Linux servers without requiring SSH connectivity and without storing OS credentials on the backup server with the new Deployer service that allows secure connection to the protected system over a single port and uses certificate-based authentication. Please give it a try. I would love to hear y ..read more

Hi, We face some difficulties regarding the configuration of Agents, in particular with Linux Agent. Normally we use the agent in Managed Mode, but in this situation we aren't allowed to connect to the client with SSH. So we opted for the pre-installed agent as this is the only available option if i'm correct? Now it seems that not all features are available when the agent is managed by agent. Like synthetic fulls, why isn't this available if the backup is managed by agent? The synthetic full process is something on VBR/Repo side, why does it matter what mode the agent is running? This means ..read more
