Hi, Just a quick question - I think I am getting a bit muddled up here / a combination of being very tired and working only on advanced and not much kentec for a long time.  On hochiki modules  Advanced shows 1.0 input 1.1 relay 1 1.2 relay 2 Mloop Shows 01 sub address output 02 sub address output 03 sub address input My question is - on the kentec is 01 relay one and 02 relay 2 OR its it the same as the advanced but just showing in reverse so 03 input 02 relay 1 01 relay 2 I feel like I'm asking a stupid question here but at the same time I dont want to get to site up ..read more

Networking several addressable control panels together between separate buildings on a site where the only routes available between are underground ducts. Standard fireproof cable or enhanced? Armoured fireproof? Naturally I am looking at BS 5839-1 compliance, but some manufacturers state to network in Belden data cable, so if BS recommends fireproof, does the manufacturer's recommendations take priority? Network out and return cables allowed within the same duct? The network need to allow for the site's full cause and effect; e.g. signalling at node 1, and the other nodes need to trigger t ..read more

Hochiki - Loop Corruption

Believe it or not, I've got two sites with this issue, so I'm hoping someone else has encountered it and managed to find the cause. I have two sites, one running on an old Mx4400 and another on a Morley DXc. The Mx4400 - The panel has no faults, but any activity on Loop 1 is excessively delayed. For example, if I hit an MCP on loop 1, it's taking over 30 seconds to go into fire and non of the loop sounders on loop 1 work. Also, the LED on device address 1 polls like mad, but all other devices don't pole at all. I thought it was a panel issue, so I swapped loops 1 and 2 around as a ..read more

Hochiki CHQ Dual Input Module

Guys, I would appreciate your thoughts. I have very little experience with Hochiki. We have a CHQ Dual Input Module & are trying to set up a fault & fire input on the same input. The documentation (attached) appears to suggest that this is only possible if the fire panel accepts 'enhanced mode'. Does anybody know if the Kentec Taktis allows enhanced mode on these interfaces & how is it applied?   Hochiki Interface Datasheet.png (Size: 235.36 KB / Downloads: 20 ..read more
