Best range I have achieved was 82km EV.
Driving from southern suburbs upto the hills at Araluen botanic Park and home.
With intermittent AC use on ECO mode. Hypermiling driving style and mostly 80kph and 60kph.
Still getting 60km range with normal driving around town and 6 to 7L per 100km on ICE.
Simon! Been a long time since we heard from you.
Do you still have the conversion?

Hi Chris,
No, the Volt does not have radar cruise. It does have 'forward collision alert' (audible warning only, it doesn't apply the brakes – it will cancel the regular cruise control though). If driven in 'L' (high regen mode, gets you about 90% of the way to one pedal driving) the regular cruise control will 'brake' and hold the set speed when going down steep hills, but doesn't adjust for traffic.
Aus Volts have Bluetooth for phone calls, but not music. (US Volts have this through the OnStar system, which we don't get). I solved this by getting a Besign BK01 off Amazon for $50 that plugs ..read more

Here are few tips for this issue:
Keep your camera lens clean - Before you start driving, make sure to clean your lens to remove any dirt, debris, or water droplets. Use a soft microfiber cloth to gently wipe the lens and avoid using any abrasive materials that could scratch the lens.
Use a water-repellent coating - Applying a water-repellent coating to your camera lens can help prevent water droplets from sticking to the surface of the backup camera. You can purchase a water-repellent spray from your local auto parts store and follow the instructions on the label for application.

What insurer? Have you tried Shannons?
I had similar issues insuring an old MX5. Redbook says they are worth $3k, but you'll have trouble finding one for sale under 10k. Shannons was the only insurer I could find that would cover it for the purchase price. They just asked what I wanted to insure it for and accepted that number.
They require you to be a "motoring enthusiast" I think just being interested in EVs is sufficient to qualify though.
