Having a think. Put new plugs in (stock NGK 1.5mm gap) as per the manual for the VS V6. Checked with the feeler gauges. Noticed the car running a little bit rougher, maybe a bit more fuel usage. I think last time I regapped the plugs to about 1.3mm. Which I think I'll do again. Would anyone have any comment about the pros or cons in doing so again. Engine has 520k+ on it, so it's fairly tired. It sees alot of highway kms. Just want to see the thoughts behind it as I'm sure a few around... Read more ..read more

I'm looking to buy a set of handbrake shoes for my 160mm rear rotors and repco sell a set of Tru Stop TSS1669 shoes I'm not sure if they are 180mm as their website have no information on this but another site below says 18.8cm also the repco salesman says his computer says they fit my VS ute but the box in store has no information on it, my rotors are DBA street series DBA016 supercheap said they are 160mm, are shoes measured by the rotor size or the length of the shoe like a piece of sting... Hey everyone, have to unfortunately rebuild my 304 engine pretty much. So I have to replace the piston rings on my engine as they're rooted, which is to be expected for an engine with 408xxxkm but just wanted to ask some questions about bolts and maybe recommended gasket kits and stuff and what I'd need to take off bare minimum to change the piston rings. Hi all hopefully someone can help me get this thing running, I turned it off one day in the driveway and it never started again. it's got fuel at the rail I've tried heaps of stuff the usual hall effect sensor I replaced the whole distributor new button and cap new coil the ICM was only a year or two old but it's one of the only things I haven't replaced yet. In a vr belina (and calias) there are 2 bcms what dose each of them do? im putting running gear and wiring in to a vb (sedan) and dont need the stuff in the doors (ie its broken) is the cruize and other belina stuff on one bcm and doors and vats on the other? Hey, I have a 96 Vs ute and i'm having problems starting it. I turn the key and the engine won't start, yet the radio and the wipers and lights are still working.
