Hello hello everyone! It is a privilege and a thrill to be writing to you today, even more than usual, because this article is part of a joint project with four other amazing content creators: Valentin1331, DerBK of Ancient Evils, Dscarpac of Quick Learner, and Justin of PlayingBoardGames! I’m stunned and truly honored to have been included in such elite company of creators I admire, but when the consistently number-one deckbuilder on ArkhamDB reaches out to you and asks if you want to collaborate on a project, you say yes SO FAST, and there’s no time for imposter syndrome. Hey everyone! It’s time for something a little bit different from our usual material–but I’m way too excited about this not to share it with you all! Today, we’re going to talk about a DIFFERENT GAME THAN ARKHAM! Gasp. If you follow my other platforms, you probably already know how much I’m in love with Earthborne Games’ brand-new first-ever product, Earthborne Rangers. If you haven’t heard of EBR, I highly recommend looking it up; my descriptions alone won’t do justice to the gorgeous art and design of the game and the wonderful mission of the company. All right, are we all on the same page w ..read more

Welcome one and all to Strength in Numbers! It is an honor, a privilege, and a thrill to be bringing you the first reveal of the community content creator spoiler season for the Feast of Hemlock Vale, post-Week of Horror. And OH BOY, have we got some fun stuff to share to start things off! If you haven’t already checked out the Week of Horror spoilers, I highly recommend doing so–several of them, particularly Countess Alessandra Zorzi, are borderline required reading for today’s adventure in weaponized charm. Also, by the time this article goes up, we will have finished streaming our live reve ..read more

Hey everyone, and welcome back! It’s been a hectic few months, but I think I start every article saying something like that, so it’s really not an excuse anymore. At this point I just publish infrequently, and those few of you who actually read my stuff are probably quite used to that. Thank you to everyone who enjoys these builds and articles, by the way–there’s nothing more heartwarming for me than to hear that I was able to bring somebody else a bit of joy or fun. Anyway, here’s a deck that sprang fully-formed into my head while I was bemoaning how bad Tennessee Sour Mash is on the Mythos B ..read more

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight everyone! We begin, as usual, with a little bit of rambling about my own Arkham experiences, to set the stage. My second-ever Arkham deck, which I played during my blind run of Carcosa, was Luke Robinson. Yes, I know–delving into the madness of As If as your second campaign, what kind of lunatic would do that? This lunatic, obviously. Anyway, I had a fantastic time with that deck, and the emergent storytelling of that campaign ended up turning Luke into the bombastic and vivacious imaginary friend of Mandy, Levi’s socially awkward, high ..read more

Hi folks! It’s been a relaxing start to the year, so naturally I’ve gone completely overboard on deckbuilding, and voila–two articles in one month! Maybe more! We’ll see. Today’s deck is one I’m really excited about, because it combines a bunch of elements I’ve used in various other decks in a very weird and fun new way–not to mention making use of several new cards, and at least one older card I’ve never really used before! I’m going to make a lot of references to Odinala and Igbo culture here, because I wanted to incorporate authentic parts of Akachi’s faith in the write-up; however, I am no ..read more

Hey folks! We’re back with a quick article today. I’ve been very busy writing some screenplays but I wanted to get this one out here quickly because I was just SO EXCITED about Los Archivos de Arkham’s spoiler card today! If you haven’t seen it yet, go check them out and read Research Notes, then return…for a new version of an old deck, and (as always) an Arkham vignette to wrap up. The Decks All right, let’s get down to business. Roland is the first character I ever played in Arkham, as I expect he was for many of you. Character Concept – Iron Man, 1920s Arkham Edition

Well hello there, and welcome to Strength in Numbers, where apparently ElseWhere has abandoned all variety in his articles and only does Arkham-themed superheroes anymore! Today we’re taking a break from the superhero-themed Arkham Champions series to bring you…another superhero decklist. How original! But this one doesn’t use one of the Carnevale Masks, and isn’t set in the Champions canon. In fact, this is the first time I’m using the “Character Concept” imprint–going forward, I intend to return to it any time I’m sharing with you a deck and character that doesn’t belong to any of my other c ..read more

Customizables and the Off-Class
Strength in Numbers Arkham Blog

Note: This entire article is going to cover a huge feature in the new player cards coming out in The Scarlet Keys. Players wishing to remain uninformed on these things should read our other articles! Scarlet Keys is going to be a phenomenal set, probably my favorite since I started playing in the middle of Dream Eaters’s release. While I’m super hype for our (presumably) two support-focused investigators (Carson and Vincent), the new system of Customizable cards is HUGE!!! While many of us, including myself, look at these cards in the context of how they work with their primary class, I wanted ..read more
