After engine block cracked (!) I had a replacement engine fitted. Trouble is that the paper sticker with details has been removed and now the engine has been fitted neither my garage nor I can find where the number is stamped onto the block. Hi Guys, I have a 2002 V40 with a B4184s2 Engine, I have been plagued for several weeks by an intermittant chattering noise coming from the top of the engin, the car even went through its MOT and the garage mechanic didn't know what the noise was, but he said it didn't sound like an "engine" noise. Hi folks! just discovered this forum searching for a solution to my problem: My 2017 V40 D4 Inscription started this morning, but then the starter motor would not disengage. I have tried turning the car on and off, getting out and locking the car to start again, turning off the AutoStart/Stop, but to no avail. Revving the engine or driving it makes no difference. My 2014 v40 t5 has been having some intermittent power loss mostly at low speed . It will be sluggish from standstill and once pick up some revs it will accelerate and after a few seconds there will be like another surge of power . I've changed the turbo intake hose, mass air flow sensor, spark plugs and alternator . The problem started after I changed the aircond clutch from a 3rd party aircond shop. Hi, my media screen has failed. The heater/AC still functions but I have no media, no phone, no music, no radio. The battery does need replacing, would the MOST system shut itself down because of the battery? I ran it through VIDA but since the battery is failing I didn't want to do anything else. Hello all, I am having an odd one here and am unsure of how to fix it, for some time i have had a the clock resetting each time the engine is turned off, now i am also getting an issue with the windows not opening all the way when i tap the button.
