They'll fit just fine. Just make sure you have the correct tire size on them.

I don't know what offset the XC70 uses off the top of my head. Otherwise, if it has a 65.1mm center bore, 45-49mm offset, 7" wide and 16" diameter with a 5 x 108mm lugbolt pitch you should be good. This link may help:

According to https://www.wheel-size.com/size/volvo/ ... 4-25t--207 the offset is 47-51. Bore and pattern are the same.

So a few times I've removed the oil filler cap on my 99 S70, I've thought that I ought to change the gasket. I forget by the time I'm ordering parts for other things. Reviewing my ebay purchases, it looks like I ordered two when I replaced the gasket on my 850, so I'd have a spare... a spare that I haven't seen even when I've been digging through Volvo parts. I can only imagine Neil's predicament.

So...i'm an idiot, I removed the pcv breather hose (without photos) and am ready to reinstall it. I noticed there are two such holes to install it in, a lower and upper. The slotted guard on the hose seems to suggest the higher one, but there are marks on the lower that indicate the hose was previously there. If I try to put the hose on the lower, the guard pushes the hose away from making contact. I figured I would ask here and see as I dont want to have to do this twice and I dont have access to an already built engine.

By some odd twist of fate, I havea pretty good picture of the history of the car even if I'm the fifth owner. The previous owner (2020-2023) is active in the local volvo community and very helpful, the first owner (98 to 2014) is my brother's godmother, and the guy who did the maintenance two owners previous (2018-2020) is a friend of mine. He gave me a brief rundown of what was done and that included changing the fuel pump. If I had to bet i'd guess it's aftermarket. How easy would it be to pull the cover?
Pretty easy on the wagons, just takes some wrestling with the floor panels. If the ..read more

Sorry for clarification, I was also doing tie rods at the same time. I saw varying torque specs from 40 to 60 ft-lbs. I don't think it even made it close to 35.
Don't get thrown off by the Euro-centric crowd; those are NM numbers. There's no way that little 10mm shaft can stand 60 ft/lbs.
30-35 ft/lbs is the number I've seen elsewhere here, and goes without saying there should be no side load on the stud during installation - get things lined up before tightening the nut. The stud needs to be in tension before it gets loaded.
There is a torque chart floating around the 'net - and repeated on ..read more

built the code reader it just stays solid red. and won't respond to the button. and I was able to power the ecc controller outside of the car with a benchtop power supply and it had its lights on. so I'm guessing something in the car that is causing a short.
