Does anyone know what would cause the sunroof on a 2001 V70XC to operate eratically? The switch doesn't seem to be the problem and a new power module was put in for a test but that didn't solve the problem either. Is there a relay or circuit-breaker in the system that controls the sunroof? I read something about a software problem causing power windows troubles in the V70. I bought my car a year ago this month and since i have had it, i have had a problem with the phone in it, it is the Comms Pack 2 set up, there is a phone key pad built into the Dash next to the stero, its where the cup holder is when you dont have the phone as an extra, there is also a handset in the front centre console, the handset works fine, how ever if you want to make a call using hands free, or receive call using the hands free i am unable to do this. Brand new to the forum, & needing some insight on a potential V70 purchase. This would be my first Volvo, but I have been a fan for decades. It's a 1998 w/270k on it. bought this v70 without a radio and just got a replacement radio from ebay. Its a FoMoCo MOdel 34W485C single CD radio. Has a 14-character serial number starting with VO. It started without any issue, the channel info displayed and the radio played for a few minutes. Then it went quite, and the display screen went blank. What am i missing ..read more

Hello, My 2004 V70 station wagon was flooded. Water in the cabin up to the bottom of seats. Ended up with a number of electrical issues. Removed the carpets, vacuumed the interior really well, and parked a dehumidifier inside for several days. Some, but not all of the electronics came back. Car has 148,788 miles, is in great condition otherwise, and runs great. The reversing lights on my 1997 were intermittently not working and have now stopped working altogether. I finally located the reverse switch on the transmission after removing the airbox. There's a Haynes manual for the petrol V70 of that era and one for the diesel mark 2 (2000-2007) but can't find one for my exact model. My 190k mile Volvo 2008 V70, otherwise in very good shape and well maintained, has a new grind. While the car is cold, for about 10 miles, it grinds when decelerating. It also gets much louder in reverse. Could the transmission fluid be low? I cannot check transmission fluid on this car, it is sealed. Or something else? Thank you Colin ..read more
