HELP!! I need to register my dog but I’m having a hard time coming up with a clever full name for him. He’s a silver lab and trained for duck hunting. His first name is Meaux and last is Lemoine.

Does anyone have any recommendations for toughening up a hounds feet? We have issues when competing in multi day competitions with dogs blistering pads and tearing pads. So if anyone has any home remedies or products to help this issue I would greatly appreciate the input!!

I found 2 brindle coat puppies (maybe foxhound mixes?) abandoned in a deep floodzone of the DFW area of Texas. 2-3 months old based on her teeth. Absolute sweethearts, I'd keep them both but one of them has a very high prey instinct. She's an absolute sweetheart and great with toddlers, but unfortunately my cat isn't safe around her.

Running my dog in our first Started hunt test in June. She already has a full season under her belt. She is totally steady, delivers to hand, and is decent with blinds. Is there anything I should focus on for this test with her?

I lost my Griffon a little while ago. As much as I loved him, he had an extremely high prey drive. I took him hunting, but most of the work was done by me.
No matter if we were on a thousand acres or a suburb he ran away every time he saw an opportunity.
I’m looking for more of a buddy that I can take to the field but isn’t dead set on running 1 to 5 K feet away.
I’ve always liked Chessies, I am wondering if they’re more of a “stay close(ish) to the owner” type of dog, similar to a lab. Anyone have any insights? Thanks in advance .
