Secure Bike Parking

I stay in Three Anchor Bay and have a motorbike. Unfortunately, the place I stay only offers on-street parking, which isn’t ideal with a bike in Cape Town. Is there anyone in the area that has a secure parking they’re not using that I could rent from them or does anyone know of any parking alternatives in the area? submitted by /u/Affectionate_Lab4044 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Incoming Rant: Clicks

I had such a shitty experience at Clicks Cape Quarter when trying to collect my medication. See my letter of complaint below: I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received at your Clicks Cape Quarter regarding my chronic medication. I have always relied on receiving an SMS each month to notify me when my medication is ready for collection. This month, however, I did not receive any notification. Concerned, I visited the pharmacy, only to be informed that my scripts were exhausted. Upon reviewing the dates of my last prescription on 11th April 2024, I found this i ..read more

Places to have a dashcam installed?
Reddit » Cape Town

I bought a dashcam that I want to install in my car. I'm looking for a place that can help me install it neatly so the wires are tucked away nicely and so that the wires plug into somewhere else other than the cigarette lighter of the car. Any suggestions of places, I'd assume I can take it to an auto electrical place, but was just looking for suggestions for good places where someone has gone to do this in Cape Town. Thanks :) submitted by /u/cryptocritical9001 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Noise times and cut offs

In Cape Town do we have specific times during the week that noise of any kind (music, construction, leaf blowers) are allowed to be made? The school across the road from me has leaf blowers going every morning from 7am which is generally okay coz I’m awake and getting ready for work but on my off days it really irks me coz I’m woken up much earlier than I’d like and it’s a really annoying noise . I know I am being a complainer but I’ve held onto my irrigation for years and just thought I would ask on here submitted by /u/BiancaD89 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

In need of a mechanic to assist with repairing my polo's handbrake. It needs to go for roadworthy and my go to mechanic is currently too occupied to assist me. Nor are we in a position to afford a workshop repair. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/HandsomeToenail [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

To raise or not to raise?

So I have a rental property in Capetown CBD. Currently it's costing me R4k per month to own after all expenses and rental income. My current tenants are extremely nice and seem to be taking good care of the property. They've been there for 2 years now. I need to get this property profitable asap because it's bleeding me money. And I can raise the rent by that 4k and still be well within the market. My thing though, is that I feel like it would be an incredibly Dick thing to do. The current tenants pay a month in advance and they've not done anything bad in the 2 years that theyve been there ..read more

How much is a fair price for hourly tutoring?

I’m currently tutoring two children. One Gr.4 and the other Gr.8. I help them prepare for their upcoming exams and I’m tutoring them on all of their subjects. I’m struggling to find a fair price as I’m not as clued up on that anymore. I currently aim to do two to three hours with them twice/thrice per week, depending on how much help they need. Some background: I used to be their au pair a few years ago, so I have a bond with the kids and a good understanding on how to work with them best. I also take at least 30min time to prep for each lesson that I’m doing with the kids and get extra mater ..read more
