Well if you’ve sent my previous thread I was going to update my MMI. Unfortunately things didn’t go according to plan. I used thenavman to get my files. I was updating to K0942_3 but when it got to a certain step, I get “Error communicating with device KBD_FC7:0”. I can click my MMI knob down but I am unable to scroll to cancel the update, I can only push the MMI knob to select the already selected option, which is “Retry” which will retry but continually give this error. I tried with another SD card as well as restating the MMI with no luck. MMI won’t turn off because the update hasn’t been c ..read more

Hey guys! I’m hoping to find a legit answer as I’m having a lot of trouble. I have a 2016 RS7 base w/ steel brakes (stock wheel spec 21x9 ET35). I’m currently trying to be proactive and find an extra set of wheels for winter. I came across OEM RS5 Rotor Wheels which are 20x9 ET26. Does anyone run these on their RS7 and will they fit WITHOUT spacers? I simply want to bolt them right up without needing spacers. To add to this question, I’ve been told to worry about “load rating” as well (since the RS7 is heavier than the RS5 etc)… is this really an issue, can I not run RS5 wheels on an RS7? I’m ..read more

The cord has broken on the MMI screen for the "slide" retract
Is there a good location to see how to "rethread" the cord?
AND where is the best place to get the new cord?

Hi
After unplugging and reinserting the elv lock plug, errors popped up and keyless start does not work.
The car starts by inserting the key close to the sensor. The locks work properly from the remote control and keyless.
How to adopt it?
Is it necessary to remove the component lock ..read more

EDIT: I just noticed this tip from the TSB "Be sure you are viewing the software level of the E380 controller and not the software level of the 5F module." I'll report back with my findings then.
Last week I had the string that moves my MMI display in and out snap on my MY2012 A6. I got a junkyard screen from a MY2013 A6 and installed it with no problems. The screen folds out nicely but when the screen folds back in, it doesn't go all the way in and sticks out a tiny bit. Sometimes if I turn the car off and let the MMI display stick out without pushing it in, and then start the car it will ac ..read more

Hello guys, my first post here.
I have been fighthing an oil lrak on my c7 a7.
It was pretty obvious the main source of the leak was the oil filter housing, i changed that and fully cleanned my engine bay.
It was dry for months. No oil drips
This morning i had the little drops of oil on my parking spot.
I still didnt had a chance to lift the car and fully inspect the bottom of the car, but the top of my engine bay is pretty clean and dry.
Would love to hear from other users what are the most comum causes of oil leak on c7 3.0t engines and what to attack next.
I will try to get an oil change to ..read more
