Hi, My 2005 A6 diesel fuel gauge is playing up. It was incorrectly showing empty but is now permanently showing full, with a half empty tank. I know this is a problem with the fuel sender (part of the fuel pump) or possibly the wiring to the fuel sender (a common issue I understand). So far as I understand, the fuel sender is based on a variable resistor and the fuel level is measured by measuring the resistance to ground, i.e. 0 ohms should be an empty tank and , say, 100 ohms (or whatever is the correct resistance for my sender ???) should be a full tank. Hello, I have a 2015 Audi A6, Prestige trim. I bought the car new in August of 2014. I love how the car drives, but problems have arose and I need some advice from others who have more experience with this model than me. This is my first Audi. Hello, car is audi a6 c5 2.5tdi AKE 2000 year automatic (front wheel drive) Last time the car started with -17 degrees celsisus weather, started right up, ran for like 5 seconds then stalled and wont start anymore. So Far i have checked the high pressure pump belt, tank fuel pump fuse, the clear fuel line from filter to high pressure pump (no bubbles) all that seems fine. I opened the tank lid from the trunk, fuel pump runs fine when i gave it direct +12v, however the pump wires did not get any signal when i turned the ignition.
