I thought I would start a unique thread specific to the Philadelphia Mount Holly Zone for those of you that have any interest in this kind of long term climate data. That said I wanted to respect those of you who wish to avoid this kind of long term climate analysis which due to our limited years of data will often lead to debate you may wish to avoid!
If this kind of longer term Climate Data Analytics is not your cup of tea...please avoid this thread as many on both sides of the debate view this topic sort of like a religion!

I'm having a vivid memory of a storm that fizzled out big time after a forecast of (I think) 6 to 10 inches during my first year of high school in the Lehigh Valley. I still remember angrily looking out at the rain/snow from my first period Math class.

Ended up hitting 41 for a high on that Feb. 29 leap day after a 30 low and finished up the month with 1.82" of rain/sleet/snow melt (which is probably low due to snow clogging the bucket).

Figured I’d make a thread since we’re close enough to the storm that we’re immune to the bad fortune a dedicated thread brings. Hopefully.
As it stands now, this looks like a significant storm for the Lehigh Valley and Poconos with plowable snow north of the turnpike, and a nuisance event towards the immediate Philly area.

Hi Everyone,
I’m in the exhaustive and tedious process of compiling and tabulating historical/climatological “snowfall” data for numerous U.S. eastern cities. This is the first one I’ve completed thus far, and thought you might find it as interesting as I do, myself.
