I used to live by them and I moved to winter park a year ago. I was in the area today and thought I’d check them out for some anime merch and it’s empty! Did they move locations or are they fully out of business? submitted by /u/WhitishClover [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Does Orlando/Orange County allow short term rentals out of an RV/Tiny House?

I stayed once in an AirBNB in California that was a travel trailer. Everything was disclosed and it was a great stay. I live pretty close to Universal and have a long driveway that is out of sight behind the house and my house has it's own septic tank/line. I think I could pretty easily get a tiny house or travel trailer and make it pretty nice and affordable for potential guests. Does anybody know if Orlando/Orange county allows something like this? submitted by /u/SeaworthinessParty50 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

About how long does it take Duke to repair a blown transformer?

Was just sitting down to watch Resident Alien when BOOM! we heard a big explosion from a transformer blowing and, of course, our power went out. I texted Duke and their system said it was only us. I checked again a while later and then they said only 8 households affected. I’m in no rush. Just curious how long something like that takes. I’m currently running the genny for the fridge, a portable AC, a fan and some lights. It’s a good test if I’m prepped for hurricane season, so I don’t mind at all. submitted by /u/twiffytwaf [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

This is oddly specific. I’ve been going for years and it is way too embarrassing to ask Rashmi what her husband’s name is who works at the front. Does anyone know?!? Thank you! submitted by /u/natgeorgiewild [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Transport hot take - SunRail expansion counties should merge their transport networks with Lynx
Reddit » Orlando
by /u/comped

This may or may not be an actual hot take but I feel like it's something that hasn't been properly discussed. Multiple counties are scheduled or proposed to get new service (Polk via Lakeland, Volusia, via DeLand and possibly more, even Lake County). But the big hang up logistically, is that all of these expansion counties operate their own systems of buses, many of which seem to have routes or services that exist partially or entirely to connect into Lynx/SunRail beyond operating within certain local parameters. So why has no one thought about making a merger a condition of adding new servic ..read more
