hi again, some month later than first try on xbox 1.6, i had try again on another one 1.3, soldering was ok and a new one chip openxenium boots regulary, after reassembly the console, try to boot and the same sequence loop appear also on this new console... solder pins was ok because first 3/5 boot was good now the console loop boot until stops with blinking green leds, screen black and chip led don't turn on, if i unistall chip boot start correctly, on screen i can see the animation (until start hdd boot that i havent). i'm so afraid because is the second one console that don't start. Having an issue with a 1.3 xbox that I've never run in to before that I can't find a solution to. Using this xbox with any type of xblast chip/80 wire ide and any type of ide to sata adapter(including startech), the xbox will not boot the bios no matter what. When I push the power button it will always boot to xblast then I need to manually choose the cerbios bank to boot from and then it works fine. I've tried replacing the modchip with various other xblast type chips, replaced the ide cable, replaced the sata adapter, replaced the HDD, replaced the dvd drive. Nothing will work. Why is it the ram and cpu upgrades on the original xbox are done.  But those that do fail to upgrade the next most vital component in your console pcs.  Upgrade you power supplies to a larger one to give the system better response time and a deeper well of wattage to pull from.  Put an atx in there that has 2 12 v rails and make sure that board has all the power running to it efficiently  a 80 or 90 % percent efficient 400 or 500 or 300 watt power supply will give you so many more options for cooling and give that mainboard all the power it needs to function better than eve ..read more

After the 128mb installation, I get no sound. I tried testing everything and still no luck on sound. It plays all the games fine and no other issues. This is a v1.4 board. Let me know if you guys know anything I should look out for. I tried wiggling wires and pressing down on certain areas where the av is. Hello, I am stuck in a pickle and hope someone can help. I just TSOP flashed in my Xbox and it is now stuck in a boot loop. The Xbox logo appears along with the Microsoft logo and then the system resets to do it again. I first installed the rocky 5 softmod, used the bios checker disc to make sure it was ready to flash (it displayed "TSOP?") and then used the TSOP flash mode of the extras disc to flash the system. everything went like normal and then after the BIOS was flashed and the system rebooted it just kept rebooting itself. Before you ask, yes I'm aware this is kind of a stupid question since you can just load Xbox games right from the hard drive. I also understand that any standard CD-ROM drive will also work in an Xbox. Don't read too much into "why would you want to do this". There isn't a really compelling reason. Bit of a necro post but having had error 16 and figuring it out the hard way...I came to the same result and,I  think, at least in my case, I have found something that appears to be an explanation and fits my issues. Googling further to find more on various Xbox error codes I found myself at this post. Hello, I’m trying to repair an Xbox Ver 1.1 for a friend. It has a Xenium 0449 05 M2 MT mod installed with a 160 GB HDD. I’m getting a 05 error on boot up. So, I’m assuming its booting with xbox original bios and 05 error has to do with the unlocked 160GB HDD. My question is, what options do I have here. I don’t know if Mod is bad or the HDD has an error. The mod has a red led always on and I don’t know if this is normal.
