Hey there friends is there anyone near the Idaho Falls, ID area that has a Y62/Armada Gen2/QX80? I've been communicating with Prinsu with the hope that they will make a roof rack for the Y62. They are asking if someone can swing by their shop to have their rig scanned to possibly get a rack into development. PM me with your Instagram handle and I'll see if we can get this thing going ..read more

Over the past 2+ years, I have been upgrading and converting my Frontier into a capable off-road vehicle my wife and I can live out of once we get to the other side of this work thing. Initially, we bought the Escapade camper (lifelong tent campers so this was a simple transition) and I built out every system including solar, 28-gallon water tank, awnings, lighting inside and out, quick connect propane to support Partners Steel stove/Propex/hot water, fridge, interior cabinets etc. We...

The current generation has been out a couple of years now. I've read some reviews and watched some videos and I even test drove a 2023. It's on my list for a variety of reasons for my next adventure vehicle (my reasons for picking it would include price, size, adequate capability for me, I kind of live the V-6 rather than a turbo 4 and others).
Do many people here have one of the new Frontiers? Any issues or major complaints ..read more

Hi Guys, I am contacting Steven from the Rugged Rocks(https://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/) regarding a matter of interest to both of us.
Steven and I are keen to gather some insights into the number of individuals who intend to purchase a ARB locker in the next six months to a year. We aim to leverage this information to advocate for the production of an ARB air locker for the 2nd Gen Armada, the rear R230 2.937 gear ratio.
Your input in this matter would be greatly appreciated as it will...

I bought my Xterra in December of 2011. Its actually my first 4x4 that I have owned, and my second vehicle. I drove this GTI around for 4 years before.
It is isnt my first experience with a truck though, we had lots growing up. We had 1988, 1992 and 1996 4runners as well as a 2001 Durango. Although I was too young to drive the first two (born in 84) we had the third gen 4runner long enough for me to drive it quite a...

Hello,
so since after months and months looking for a Patrol Y61 with Automatik (very rare in Germany) and without too many miles on it, i am warming up to the idea of a Y62, since the US HD trucks like Ram/Ford 2500 will mos likely be too limitet bei their size and the Land Cruiser 200 ist simply crazy expensive.
Now usually independant suspension on luxury Suvs is not that tough and of course the axles on the Y61 are amoung the best, so i guess i have to face a serious downgrade in that...

Update: Might as well keep with this thread. Replaced the 2020 Titan King Cab with a 2021 Titan XD.
After 3 silver SUVs in a row (Montero Sport 3.5xs, Lexus GX470, Lexus GX460), endless runs for landscaping/home stuff, and an elderly dog throwing up all over the 460 interior on a camping trip I decide it was time for a truck.
After driving all the midsized trucks I was left with the ZR2 diesel as the only potential option. However, the payload straight sucked and the interior was eh for...

Hey guys,
I thought I had a build thread already set up but I guess not.
Overall, it's been a fun build but has presented some challenges.
From the start, the decision to go with a Pathfinder was an odd one. I had a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and loved it... Until it was "Lemoned" for what they thought was incomplete unibody welds. There was another list alongside this that assisted in the removal of the GCTH from the fleet.
After the bad taste of another Chrysler...

Has anyone built on a 2022-23 Frontier?
My son graduates HS this year and will be going off to college in the fall. He is talking about doing wild land fire fighting this summer to earn some $. He is a hard core skier and mountain biker as well as loving to hunt. He is also talking about moving to AK post college. I am thinking of doing a build on a 2023 Frontier for his graduation gift.
The basics so far and unanswered questions:
CBI covert bumper
?? Winch
Bed rack? 1/2 cab hight? To...
