At the risk of stealing Skiroule's Thunder, I thought we could shake things up in the off-season with some Antique Tractor pics. As a kid growing up on a Wisconsin farm, I think Dad had me driving one of the small ones by the time I was 5 or 6. We had some Fords and Farmalls, but I've never seen this model.
A 1948 Farmall Super A/C Christmas Tree Sprayer - one of only seven built, of which two are known to still exist today. It was probably very modern in it's day...

If a visit to the Hall of Fame is not on your Bucket List, it should be. This was my second visit and again, it was not a disappointment. It's larger, maybe twice the size of my previous visit and with so many machines from the past, they have to rotate them in and out to get a fair showing. If you're in or near St. Germain, make it a stop just off Hwy 70, west of town. So, without further delay, let's get to the pix.

I’ve flip-flopped more times than I can count about doing another “ground-up” project but for some time I’ve been thinking about a couple of projects that I’d really like to attempt.
This project is one that I’ve been mulling over. I’m calling it a “Mutt Mod” but in the end I think it will be more mutt than mod. The reason I say this is that if the end product goes as planned, it will be a combination of several sled parent years. The mod side will be pretty mild and nothing that hasn’t...

The annual Legends Laps will be this Thursday, February 16th at the World Championship Derby Complex in Eagle River, WI. Past champ racers will be taking a spin on the derby track. Other vintage race sleds will be on display in the Expo Hall. Free admission with a 10AM start. Should be a great day to watch. Next year I'm told it will be moved to a Sunday so that more people can attend. Rev ..read more

Sometimes you have to pick up where you left off, or in my case start over with the same but different sleds. I found these local at a estate sale, parked in a barn since 1991 & 1997. Supposed to be one owner sleds. I let all my spare parts go with my last two so hopefully I don't need to hunt down too many things. I will be slow on these, but I will post updates as I make some progress.
Hope you enjoy,
Kirk...

The winter of 1916 brought with it Appleton’s first snowmobile. Contemporaneous reports indicate the Appleton Police Department needed to get innovative while traversing the city’s snowy streets out on patrol:
“Police Department has obtained a Motor Sleigh. In order to combat the cold winter in getting around the city in a hurry up calls, Officer Deltgen has invented a new device which is being attached to his motorcycle. Deltgen obtained sleighs and attached them to his...

Not to steal any thunder from Skiroule and his Mutt Mod thread as there's many of us following along with his adventures. It got me thinking of my first snowmobile, the 69 Arctic Cat Panther. She was slow and she was heavy but as someone else said on here, it didn't matter what make or model, if you had a snowmobile you were living the High Life! I was just a young whip at the time, had to get Dad to start it as I couldn't pull that rope fast enough to get it to fire. Me and my brother would...
