Dear Members, On this coming Saturday, July 20th we’re having our monthly membership meeting. It starts at 9 am as usual and there will be folks meeting at Alans Corners for Breakfast at 8. The soaring weather looks favorable for flying as well. Lift at 3.1 knots to 3600 agl with cu’s and light winds. Pumpkin Annual Inspection Complete Needs Test Flight

Gary, Petr and I completed the annual inspection on Pumpkin (2-33) yesterday. One of the squawks was that the dive brake was very hard to close when it was fully open. I confirmed that squawk when I flew it last week. We found that the dive brake was opening to a full 90 degrees when the proper angle should be 75 degrees on the underwing and 85 degrees on the upperwing.  The dive brake and wheel brake adjustments have been made and a test flight by either and AI or Flight Chair will confirm the repair.
