Good afternoon new member here. I’ve been doing a lot of research and can only find mentored gamebird hunts for youth. It also seems very hard to crack or join a group of hunters. I recall 20 plus years ago all the snow geese that were in SW Manitoba. Around the Baldur, Ninette, Glenboro Killarney areas they were plentiful. Believe the small town of Dunrea still has a snow goose monument. You just dont see many in that area anymore. I have 4 old duck decoys that were bought at an auction sale near Oak Lake 30 + years ago. I am wondering if they were connected to the Oak Lake Hunting Lodge and any info on who made them, when they were made, what value they might have, etc. Two of them have a stamp on the bottom that looks like G Mc, and the other 2 have a carved letter J on the bottom. I waterfowl hunt mainly on property I have in SW MB. During deer season something had dug a few fresh monstrous holes! At first thought coyote digging rodents etc but tracks proved otherwise then I saw 2 huge fat racoons! A fair number of waterfowl nest around my marsh and I was thinking these raccoons will likely get a lot of these nests?
